Official Metro Council Committee Sessions
Nashville’s Metropolitan Council has a full slate of committee meetings scheduled for today, Monday, March 2, 2026. These sessions provide an essential platform for legislative oversight on city spending, infrastructure development, and ethical standards. Members of the public are encouraged to participate in the civic process by attending or viewing the proceedings.
- Ethical Conduct Board: The board will convene for a regularly scheduled meeting at 10:00 a.m. at the Historic Metro Courthouse (1 Public Square, Council Committee Room 1).
- Transportation and Infrastructure Committee: A committee session is scheduled from 3:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Courthouse to review current multimodal projects and right-of-way permits.
- Special Called Joint Meeting: The Transportation and Infrastructure and Budget and Finance committees will hold a joint session from 4:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. to discuss intersecting fiscal and transit priorities.
- Budget and Finance Committee: The committee will meet from 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to review upcoming resolutions and departmental appropriations.

Road and Infrastructure Advisories
The Nashville Department of Transportation (NDOT) and the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) have issued several notices regarding active construction zones and maintenance-related lane closures effective Monday, March 2:
- I-40 Bridge Repairs: Major weekend eastbound lane closures and the full ramp closure at Exit 221A are scheduled to conclude at 5:00 a.m. this morning. Commuters should remain alert for lingering congestion as crews finish clearing the site.
- I-65 Bridge Inspections: A mobile work zone will be active between Mile Markers 104 and 120 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Expect single-lane closures in both directions as inspections are performed.
- I-24 Traffic Signal Upgrades: A single northbound lane closure is planned between Mile Markers 4.1 and 6.9 for signal maintenance from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge: Intermittent partial closures continue for ongoing bridge repairs. The north sidewalk remains open for pedestrians, but cyclists are required to dismount when traversing work zones.
- Nolensville Pike (SR 11): Bradford Hills Drive remains under a continuous closure for utility and grading work. This closure is expected to remain in place through April 2026.
Public Health and Community Reminders
The Tennessee Department of Health is in the final stages of its digital infrastructure relaunch. While the state website undergoes scheduled updates, local health services remain fully operational. Residents requiring immunization records or clinic appointments should contact their local provider directly. Additionally, the Behavioral Health and Wellness Advisory Council is scheduled to meet later this week on Thursday, March 5, at the Lentz Public Health Center to discuss community safety initiatives.
