A new Hilton-branded lifestyle property comes online in Midtown

Tempo by Hilton Nashville Midtown has opened in Nashville’s Midtown district, expanding the city’s supply of upscale, design-forward hotel rooms outside the Downtown core. The 12-story property is located at 110 20th Avenue N, near Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, with Centennial Park and Music Row also nearby.

The hotel is developed by Vision Hospitality Group, a Chattanooga-based hotel development and management company. The Midtown opening marks the company’s first property under Hilton’s Tempo flag in Nashville.

Hotel size, on-site features and guest-room concept

The property has 161 guestrooms and a small on-site meetings footprint geared toward compact gatherings. Hilton lists one meeting room and 224 square feet of event space, while other venue listings describe multiple reservable areas and roughly 2,000 square feet of meeting space marketed for small events.

Core guest amenities include a fitness center, EV charging, digital key access, Wi‑Fi, and paid self-parking. The hotel is pet-friendly, with a non-refundable pet fee and a maximum weight limit listed for large dogs.

Tempo’s brand positioning emphasizes rooms designed around daily routines, generally organized into distinct zones intended for getting ready, sleeping, and working or relaxing. Venue listings for the Midtown property describe in-room features such as a spa-style bathroom layout, Bluetooth-enabled mirrors, and Apotheke bath products, consistent with elements previously promoted for the Tempo brand concept.

  • Scale: 161 guestrooms
  • Facilities: fitness center, EV charging, meeting space, paid parking

Food and beverage: Moonsong Café as a day-to-night anchor

Food and beverage service is centered on Moonsong Café, described as a combined coffee shop, bar and restaurant concept used within Tempo properties. Brand materials for Moonsong describe a format built around coffee and tea service, cocktails including non-alcoholic options, and a menu designed to work from morning through evening.

Tempo has been built around an “approachable lifestyle” positioning targeting travelers seeking efficient service and wellness-oriented design, a strategy Hilton introduced when it launched the brand in 2020.

Timing and development context

Construction milestones previously indicated the project was targeting completion in late 2025. Local tourism-industry listings for the Midtown property have described an opening in February 2026, aligning with the hotel’s current operational status. The site’s development has been marketed as a Midtown alternative to the higher-density Downtown hotel cluster, with proximity to Vanderbilt and major medical and university-related demand generators.

For Nashville’s hotel market, the opening adds new inventory in a corridor that serves university, medical, corporate, and leisure demand, and further underscores the continuing shift toward lifestyle-branded properties positioned around on-site social spaces and fitness-forward amenities.
