Administrative and Public Meeting Schedule

Public notice is hereby issued for the following boards, commissions, and committees of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. These sessions are open to the public in accordance with the Tennessee Open Meetings Act.

  • Civil Service Commission: The commission will convene a regularly scheduled meeting at 8:30 a.m. today at the Howard Office Building, located at 700 President Ronald Reagan Way, in the Sonny West Conference Center. The agenda includes reviews of current eligibility register reports, as well as official personnel actions regarding appointments and terminations across Metro departments.
  • Continuum of Care (CoC) Homelessness Planning Council – Veterans Workgroup: This workgroup will meet at 2:30 p.m. to continue its coordination of a sustainable systems approach to address veteran homelessness. The session focuses on meeting and maintaining federal benchmarks for housing stability and crisis response within Nashville’s veteran population.

Health and Public Safety Advisories

The Metro Public Health Department (MPHD) maintains standing health advisories and public service announcements for Davidson County residents regarding infectious diseases and environmental safety.

  • Mosquito-Borne Virus Prevention: Official guidance remains active concerning the Zika Virus Plan of Action and West Nile Virus prevention protocols. Residents are advised to eliminate standing water on their property and utilize protective measures during outdoor activities. The health department continues to monitor local trends and provide updated surveillance data to mitigate the risk of seasonal transmission.
  • Upcoming Community Safety Task Force: Public notice is also issued for a virtual meeting of the Community Safety Task Force scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This body is tasked with reviewing local safety initiatives and coordinating inter-departmental efforts to reduce community violence.
