Transportation and Infrastructure Advisories

The Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) has updated its schedule for several major bridge and roadway projects currently impacting traffic flow:

  • John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge: Ongoing repair work continues today. While the bridge is subject to partial intermittent closures, the north sidewalk remains open for pedestrians. Cyclists are required to dismount and walk through the construction zone.
  • Woodland Street Bridge: Phase 2 of the bridge repair project remains active. Drivers should expect minor delays and lane shifts in the vicinity.
  • Nolensville Pike (Bradford Hills Drive): A continuous closure of Bradford Hills Drive at Nolensville Pike remains in effect for long-term construction. This closure is expected to last through April 2026.
  • Arthur Avenue: Roadwork continues between Garfield Street and Jane Street. Localized traffic control plans are in place, and drivers are urged to use caution.

Public Health and Emergency Recovery

Nashville remains under a State of Emergency following Winter Storm Fern. Residents are advised of the following public service announcements regarding storm recovery:

  • Special Vegetation Debris Collection: NDOT crews are currently conducting a citywide sweep to collect residential vegetation debris caused by the winter storm. Residents are asked to place debris at the curb, ensuring it does not block sidewalks or drainage paths.
  • Damage Self-Reporting: The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) continues to collect data via its damage assessment survey. Residents with storm-related property damage are urged to document and report their losses to support the ongoing Major Disaster Declaration.
  • FEMA Assistance: Federal Public Assistance has been approved for Davidson County. Eligible government entities and non-profits may begin the reimbursement process for qualifying disaster-related costs.
