MNPD asks public to identify suspect in armed bank robbery at South Nashville First Horizon branch

Investigation focuses on robbery reported Thursday afternoon on Murfreesboro Pike
Metro Nashville Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect sought in an armed bank robbery in South Nashville. The incident was reported Thursday, October 17, 2024, at a First Horizon Bank branch in the 2300 block of Murfreesboro Pike, in the area commonly associated with Nashboro Village.
Police said the suspect entered the bank shortly before 2 p.m., passed a note and demanded money while armed. After the robbery, the suspect was reported to have fled on foot toward Nashboro Golf Course. No injuries were reported in the initial public safety updates released during the search.

Investigators described the suspect as a man believed to be in his early 20s. Police said he was wearing a black ski mask, black clothing, black gloves and black glasses at the time of the robbery. Officers conducted an active search in the area after the report was received.
