Bridgestone Arena opens as a daytime relief site Friday

Bridgestone Arena, the downtown home of the Nashville Predators, opened Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, to community members affected by recent winter storms. The arena scheduled daytime access from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central Time, offering a temporary indoor space for warming and basic needs.

The plan included practical services aimed at residents dealing with power outages, disrupted services, or storm-related hardship. Visitors were able to charge phones and other devices, refill water bottles, and receive a meal. Food service for the event was provided through the arena’s concessions partner, Delaware North.

Games and indoor activities available during the relief window

As part of the open-door period, the arena also made the Gnashville Fun Zone available, an indoor activity area featuring games intended for families and other visitors. The inclusion of an entertainment component accompanied the core relief services, reflecting the arena’s capacity to function as a large, weather-protected gathering space during disruptions.

Free Harlem Globetrotters tickets offered for Saturday, Jan. 31

In addition to Friday’s daytime services, the Predators and Bridgestone Arena coordinated with the Harlem Globetrotters to distribute complimentary tickets for two games scheduled at the venue on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026. The games were set for 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Central Time.

Organizers set aside 500 general admission tickets for each of the two Saturday games for individuals and families impacted by the storm. Each ticket included a $10 food-and-beverage voucher usable at arena concession stands.

Where and when storm-impacted residents could pick up tickets

Ticket distribution was scheduled for Friday only, with availability described as limited to supplies on hand. A limit of four tickets per person was established. Pick-up locations and hours were listed as:

  • Bridgestone Arena Box Office: Friday, Jan. 30, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Ford Ice Center Antioch: Friday, Jan. 30, 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Ford Ice Center Bellevue: Friday, Jan. 30, 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.

In announcing the effort, the Predators’ front office framed the arena’s availability as a short-term community resource following a difficult week tied to the storm’s impacts.

What residents should know

The Friday opening functioned as a time-limited indoor relief option rather than a long-term sheltering program. The Saturday ticket distribution was structured as a separate benefit tied to scheduled arena events, with clear caps on the number of tickets and the size of the allocation per game.

Residents seeking the arena services or the ticket allotment were instructed to use the designated pick-up windows and locations, with the understanding that availability depended on remaining inventory.
